Hi! This is just a quick readme in case you can't load DoubleClick! It
should run on all Amigas with 1MB RAM. The disk will autoboot,
and the diskmag started by doubleclicking on the DoubleClick! icon
(what could be simpler?). If you're having problems, try booting
Workbench first.
Now a few things I missed out of the diskmag. As it is written in
AMOS, you can flick between Workbench and DoubleClick by
pressing Left Amiga and A together. Also, if you're running from
floppy, then picture loading might be a bit slow, so you can toggle
them on and off with the tickbox next to 'Pics?'
If you want to install to hard drive, then simply drag the disk icon
over to your hard drive to copy the contents there. No assigns are
necessary, but if you want to hear the music, you must have
'octamedplayer' in the utilities drawer of your system partition, as
well as the lh.library in your libs drawer. If you're having problems,
try copying all of the libraries on the disk onto your libs drawer;
there shouldn't be any problems.
If you're thinking that the DoubleClick! icon looks awful, then you're
not viewing it in enough colours! I suggest booting from Workbench
first, and setting your preferences to have at least 16 colours, if you
haven't done already.
Future issues may be on a FFS disk to get as much on as possible,
so you'll need Workbench 2 or above if that's the case. (What's
wrong with that? You can get a Kickstart 2 ROM for under £25
now...)
I hope you enjoy DoubleClick!
Mark Harman.
